Fertility MOT at the Alternative Families Show 2011

Posted in News on August 17th, 2011

Are you in a same-sex relationship? Come and visit the Fertility MOT stand at the Alternative Families Show 2011 in London.

We’ll be at the event on 17 September, at the Grand Connaught Rooms, Covent Garden to help all those thinking of starting a family to understand their fertility status.

Knowing your fertility status before you embark on any fertility treatment can be extremely beneficial. The Fertility MOT is designed to help identify how fertile you are, and whether there are any issues which are affecting your fertility which you may not be aware of.

For example, if you wish to use your sperm for surrogacy, our detailed semen analysis test will look at different qualities including your sperm count, sperm motility and whether there are any abnormalities which could prevent fertilisation of an egg.

If you’re in a female same-sex relationship, our tests include ovarian reserve measuring, to analyse how active your ovaries are and whether any issues – such as blocked fallopian tubes – could make standard fertility treatment such as intrauterine insemination with donor sperm difficult.

All tests are comprehensive yet simple, to ensure you have the most accurate picture we can give of your current fertility status. Even if you’re not planning a family just yet, it’s useful to know of any potential fertility issues you may have now, so you can be prepared for when the time comes for you to have your family.

Our expert consultants will meet with you once your results are available, to fully discuss the results with you and ensure you understand what they mean.

Fertility MOT testing can be done individually, or both you and your partner may decide to have the test. The full Fertility MOT costs from £750 per couple or £600 individually. We also offer a new ‘Mini’ Fertility MOT. Although not as detailed as the full MOT, it will still give you an indication of your fertility status. Mini Fertility MOT costs from £500 per couple.

To find out more about what’s involved, come and see us at the Alternative Families Show, we’d be delighted to meet you.

Fertility MOT – We’re at the Fertility Show

Posted in News on October 25th, 2010

Fertility MOT will be exhibiting at this year’s Fertility Show, at London’s Olympia on 5 and 6 November.

The show, which is expected to attract over 3,000 visitors, is the key annual event designed to give couples trying for a baby as much information as possible – whether they need help to conceive or just want to know more about their own fertility.

At our stand you’ll be able to find more about what a Fertility MOT involves, and speak to our staff face-to-face about the implications of your test results.

So if you’re planning to come to the Fertility Show, make sure you visit our stand to get more details about investigations into your fertility. Remember that most Fertility MOT tests are usually completed within one menstrual cycle, so you could have answers in as little as four weeks. You also don’t have to be tested as a couple, you can be tested individually.

If you have any questions before you come to the show, click here for our FAQs page. To book tickets to the show, visit www.fertilityshow.co.uk.

iPhone Fertility Calculator is a revolution

Posted in Fertility, News on February 3rd, 2010

Did you hear the recent news about how an iPhone Fertility App helped a Scottish couple to conceive Britain’s first iBaby?

Apparently, Lena Bryce spent four years trying for a baby until her husband Dudley downloaded the free Menstrual Calendar app and they’re now proud parents of their baby girl, Lola.

According to the news report, doctors couldn’t find any reason why Lena was unable to get pregnant and they were considering IVF or adoption. It just goes to show, with a little strategic planning and the right timing, miracles can happen. Congratulations to Lena and Dudley for their bundle of joy.

If you’re struggling to conceive, you can download the iPhone Fertility App here. You can also have a look at our expert guide on ‘Tips for getting pregnant‘ or give one of our friendly experts a call to discuss the range of fertility tests we have available.
