Chlamydia is the most common STI in the UK, affecting both sexes. It can be treated but it often has no symptoms for men or women, so can remain undetected.
In women this can lead to permanent damage of the Fallopian tubes, while in men, chlamydia infection can affect sperm function.
Rubella is an infection that does not affect your ability to conceive, but can have serious consequences on an unborn baby if the mother contracts the disease during pregnancy.
If you are found to be non-immune to Rubella then it is advisable to stop trying to conceive until you have been vaccinated and your immunity re-checked.
