To begin your Fertility MOT we’d like you to fill in a detailed questionnaire. You may be contacted by email or phone to clarify certain points.
The next step is for blood tests checking ovarian reserve, ovulation and infection screening. Depending on your circumstances, we may also need to test for PCOS and/ or your thyroid. Arrangements will be made for the male fertility analysis test at this point.
Once we have all the laboratory information, you will given an appointment with a consultant gynaecologist with specialist training in fertility. At this appointment a pelvic ultrasound scan and HyCoSy scan (if indicated) will be undertaken followed by a detailed discussion of the test results.
Within a week following this appointment, the consultant will provide you with a detailed written report, including all your test results.
We expect most of our couples to have had completed their Fertility MOT within one menstrual cycle, but occasionally this may stretch to two depending on dates and timings.
A mini-MOT package includes an AMH, transvaginal ultrasound, semen analysis and consultation.
